SpeechTiles Developer Account Terms

Effective October 27, 2026

These Developer Account Terms (“Terms”) govern access to the developer portal and associated account services provided by Speech Tiles, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“SpeechTiles,” “we,” “our”). By accepting these Terms or using a developer account, you agree to them. If acting for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

1. Account registration and security

Provide accurate and current registration information, safeguard your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to support@speechtiles.com. You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by law. Do not share credentials, impersonate others, or permit unauthorized account access.

2. Permitted use

You may use the portal to access public documentation, manage your account, communicate with SpeechTiles, and obtain developer resources for which you are authorized. You must not interfere with security or availability, probe systems without authorization, introduce malicious content, scrape or overload services, or use the portal unlawfully. We may implement reasonable technical controls to protect the service.

3. Separate SDK license

Creating an account does not grant a license to download, install, use, redistribute, or deploy any SpeechTiles software development kit, framework, or proprietary software (“SDK”). SDK evaluation requires separate acceptance of the SpeechTiles SDK Evaluation License Agreement; commercial or production rights require a separate written license. Public documentation is available subject to applicable intellectual property law and any clearly applicable website terms.

4. Ownership

SpeechTiles and its licensors retain all rights in the portal, SDKs, documentation, trademarks, and underlying technology, including copyrights, trade secrets, patent applications, and patents that may issue. You retain ownership of independently developed applications, source code, and materials submitted to us. No ownership transfer is implied by account registration.

5. Questions and submitted materials

If the portal permits support questions and attachments, you may submit logs, screenshots, code, descriptions, and other materials (“Submissions”). You retain ownership of your Submissions. You grant SpeechTiles a limited, nonexclusive permission to receive, store, reproduce, inspect, and disclose Submissions to authorized personnel and service providers only as reasonably needed to provide support, investigate issues, secure and operate our services, and comply with law. This permission does not authorize commercial exploitation of your code or transfer its ownership.

Do not submit credentials, payment-card data, sensitive personal information, or third-party confidential information unless authorized and appropriate safeguards have been arranged. You warrant that you have the right to provide the materials. We may reject or remove unlawful, malicious, or unnecessary Submissions. We use reasonable safeguards and retain materials only as reasonably needed for their stated purposes, subject to applicable legal requirements. Privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Communications and privacy

We may send account verification, security, legal, and service communications to your registered email address. Any marketing communications will follow applicable consent and unsubscribe rules. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, including privacy requests made to support@speechtiles.com.

7. Availability and changes

The portal is provided on an “as available” basis. We may improve, change, temporarily suspend, or discontinue portal functionality, documentation, or resources. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant planned changes when practical. Portal changes do not automatically amend a separately accepted SDK license, and service interruptions do not automatically extend an evaluation term.

8. Suspension and account closure

We may suspend or close accounts for security threats, fraud, unauthorized access, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms. When appropriate and practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a correctable violation. You may request account closure at support@speechtiles.com. Closure does not extinguish accrued obligations, alter a separately accepted SDK license, or require deletion of information we are legally entitled or obligated to retain. Requests for personal information deletion are handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

9. Disclaimers and liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PORTAL IS PROVIDED WITHOUT IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPEECHTILES IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM PORTAL USE. NOTHING HERE EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED. These account terms do not modify liability provisions of a separately applicable SDK or commercial license.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms prospectively. We will communicate material changes through the portal or registered email and obtain renewed acceptance where required or appropriate. An archived version and acceptance record will identify the terms applicable at the relevant time.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Delaware law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent superseded by applicable federal law. Subject to mandatory law, disputes arising from these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and the parties consent to their jurisdiction.

12. General

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and any separately applicable agreements govern their respective subject matter; a signed commercial agreement controls where it expressly supersedes these Terms. Questions and legal notices may be sent to support@speechtiles.com.
