SpeechTiles Privacy Policy

Effective October 27, 2026

Speech Tiles, LLC (“SpeechTiles,” “we,” “our”) respects the privacy of visitors and developers using speechtiles.com, its documentation, and developer portal (collectively, the “Services”). Contact us at support@speechtiles.com for privacy inquiries.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when registering and using a developer account, such as your email address, registration details, authentication information, account preferences, and records of agreements accepted. We also process records needed to operate the portal, such as sign-in activity, security events, SDK download records, timestamps, and related technical information. If you contact us, we collect your messages and any logs, screenshots, code, or attachments you choose to provide. We may collect basic website usage and diagnostic information through technologies actually deployed on the site.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts; verify email addresses; administer evaluation eligibility, downloads, and licensing; provide documentation and support; investigate abuse and technical issues; improve service reliability; comply with law; and communicate important account or policy updates. Where legally required, we obtain consent for optional uses. We do not sell developer personal information.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies or similar technologies necessary for authentication, security, and core website operation. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand site traffic and performance, but will describe any deployed analytics provider and nonessential tracking technologies accurately and provide consent choices where required. We do not plan to use third-party behavioral advertising trackers at launch. Browser settings may allow you to restrict cookies, although disabling essential cookies can affect portal functionality.

SDK and application data

SpeechTiles SDKs may process audio, speech recognition results, transcripts, and other information within a developer's application, depending on the developer's implementation, platform permissions, and Apple or other third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not imply that SpeechTiles itself receives application audio or transcripts. Developers are responsible for lawful notices, user permissions, and their own application privacy practices. Any SDK telemetry or data transfer to SpeechTiles, if implemented, must be separately and accurately disclosed.

Disclosure and service providers

We may share personal information with service providers acting on our instructions for hosting, email delivery, security, support, and similar operations; with authorized personnel responding to support requests; or where necessary to comply with law, protect rights and security, or handle a lawful corporate transaction. We do not authorize service providers to commercialize developer code submitted for support.

Retention

We retain account, security, licensing, download, and support information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, and legitimate business recordkeeping. Retention may differ by record type. Deletion from active systems and backups may occur on different schedules. We do not promise a fixed deletion interval unless one has been technically established and published.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid submitting credentials, payment-card data, or unnecessary sensitive information through general support channels.

Your privacy choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and identity verification, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@speechtiles.com. We will respond within applicable legal timeframes and explain any legally permitted retention or exceptions. You may request account closure through the same address. You may opt out of marketing communications using available unsubscribe instructions; essential service and security communications may continue while you maintain an account.

International use

The Services may be accessed internationally. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we will comply with applicable requirements for such transfers. Rights and protections may vary depending on where you live.

Children's privacy

The developer portal is intended for professional and adult developers, not children. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through the developer portal. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information requiring review or deletion.

Updates

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post an updated effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Updates do not retroactively change the terms of a separately accepted SDK license.
