SDK Reference · Method
loadSSPhonemes (Array)
Loads speech-synthesis phoneme mappings directly from a dictionary.
Declaration
public func loadSSPhonemes(
_ phonemes: [String: String]
) -> STResultOverview
Loads pronunciation overrides from a Swift dictionary. Each key is a written word and each value is its pronunciation in IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet), a standard notation for speech sounds. Use the loadSSPhonemes (URL) overload to load mappings from a file.
Dictionary-based pronunciation mappings
Use a dictionary for mappings supplied programmatically. The values must use the pronunciation representation supported by the selected synthesis engine.
Parameters
- phonemes — [ String : String ] Refer to the method-specific behavior and usage example for how this parameter is used.
Usage example
_ = conversation.loadSSPhonemes(["sample": "pronunciationValue"])
Result handling
