getSSVoices

Returns the speech-synthesis voices available from an engine.

Overview

Lists speech-synthesis voices currently available to the operating system and synthesis engine. On iOS, some voices are not available until downloaded in system Settings. If a desired voice is missing, open Settings → Accessibility → Read & Speak → Voices → English, select the desired voice (for example Ava (Premium)), and download it. Menu names and availability vary by iOS version and language. Query the voices again after installation.

Each result contains the engine name and public STSSVoiceParams describing the voice identifier, name, language, gender, and quality.

Returns an empty array when the audio player is not initialized.
