Getting Started with STConversationRunner
STConversationRunner is the application-facing orchestration layer for a SpeechTiles conversation. Use it when the application wants the framework to execute a declarative Conversation rather than manually coordinate individual playback, recording, and recognition operations through STMediaRunner.
A typical application:
- creates a runner and initializes it;
- registers an
STConversationCallback; - configures the audio environment and permissions;
- sets resource locations and resource language;
- loads prompt/configuration resources and a Conversation;
- supplies runtime fields or user intent when needed; and
- starts the Conversation with
runConversation().
Initialization is layered intentionally. STConversationRunner.initialize() initializes the shared media runner and the media components required by the conversation runtime; configuration and resources remain explicit so the application retains control over deployment, localization, and runtime state.
